WP Booklet System

The WP Booklet System is a set of macros for WordPerfect for DOS (5.1 & 5.1+) which simplify the production of booklets (pamphlets, brochures, tracts, bulletins, etc...). With WP Booklet you can easily convert a WordPerfect document, prepared as described in the extensive documentation file, into a booklet. The end result will be a document where the appropriate pages are printed sided by side.

The steps necessary to define a paper definition suitable for producing a booklet are completely automated. There are a total of 8 different booklet sizes supported. They are: Standard, Legal, A3, A4, A5, US Government, Half-Standard and Half-Legal. An illustration is even provided to help explain the approach taken to produce the paper definition. A record of all booklet paper definitions is maintained to enable you to use the same definition in multiple booklets. WP Booklet can keep track of up to 16 different booklet paper definitions on each of 10 different printers at the same time. Support has been added for New Page Number codes in the text of your document. If such are found the current page numbering scheme is saved and then restored after rebuilding into a booklet. This approach allows you to have page 1 two or three pages into the booklet.

The registered edition, now available for free, contains the following additional features: the ability to produce Tri-folded brochures, the ability to automatically handle codes spanning the page breaks, and the ability to print the document as a booklet without having to rebuild it first (thus providing support for ALL WordPerfect features).

Requirements for Using WP Booklet:

1. WordPerfect for DOS version 5.1 (dated 6/29/90 or later) or WordPerfect version 5.1+.
2. A printer capable of either Landscape printing or wide carriage support. This requirement does not apply to the last two of the eight supported booklet sizes. Any printer should be able to print them.
